The course "Inspiring Leadership": Change of dates

The dates for the five day EU training course "Inspiring Leadership", organised by the Learning Teacher Network, have been changed to 21-25 September 2010. The location is the same: Ljubljana, Slovenia. The course invites school leaders from all Europe. EU grants to attend the course can be given by the National EU LLP Agencies.

EducaPoles provides adapted tools for classroom learning and teaching on climate change

EducaPoles is an educational site provided by the International Polar Foundation. It sets out to sensitize young people and the educational world to the importance of the Polar Regions and of climate change by proposing adapted teaching tools and projects.

Earth Hour 2010 – turn the lights out for a brighter future

Earth Hour 2010 will take place on March 27, 2010 from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, local time. Earth Hour is the largest climate manifestation in the world. Through simple action each one can show support for the climate while also urging the policy makers around the world to take action.

A Training Course on and with Creativity and Learning

The Learning Teacher Network invites teachers, headteachers and teacher trainers to the European Comenius/Grundtvig Training Course "Creativity and Learning" on 5-9 October 2010.

The 5-day course will take place at the five star Galini Wellness Spa & Resort in Kamena Vourla, Greece. The hotel/course venue is located at the Mediterranian Sea outside Lamia, north of Athens.

26th World Congress for professionals working in Early Childhood Education

The 26th World Congress for Early Childhood Education will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden on August 11-13, 2010. The theme of the congress is "Children - citizens in a challenged world". Organiser of the World Congress is OMEP, the World Organization for Early Childhood Education.

The LTN Ljubljana Conference Keynote speaker Hans Rosling one of Top 100 Global Thinkers

The American magazine Foreign Policy has listed the Top 100 Global Thinkers with the big ideas that shaped our world in 2009. The Swedish professor Hans Rosling who spoke at the Learning Teacher Network's International Conference in Ljubljana in October 2009 is on the list "for boggling our minds with paradigm-shattering data".

Final report from the conference EU as Global Actor

The final report from the conference ‘EU as Global Actor’, which was held in Lund Sweden on 28-29 September, has been published today. The conference was part of the Swedish presidency of the European Union and the EU’s year of Creativity and Innovation, and manifested common approaches and asked challenging questions.

3rd Career Counsellors’ Training Seminar - Summer School

The 3rd Career Counsellors’ Training seminar” (GR-2010-091-001) will take place on the island of Crete, Greece, on 18-22 July 2010. The seminar aims to bring together career counsellors from different countries and to promote developmental and networking issues amongst the participants. The summer school is organised by Ellinogermaniki Agogi, in the framework of the EU Comenius Project ‘Career Counsellors Interactive Training’ (CarCouIT).
