Creative Europe is the new EU programme dedicated to the cultural and creative sectors, proposed by the European Commission on 23 November 2011, that will run from 2014 to 2020. The proposal is now under discussion by the Council of EU Ministers and the European Parliament.

The Red Cross Positive Images Toolkit

The Positive Images toolkit is an educational resource for teachers, youth workers and other educators to teach young people about migration and development.

The toolkit includes ten innovative educational activities for young people aged 12 and over. It also includes a wealth of activities and case studies of actions, enabling young people through their community to make a difference to global issues.

The toolkit incorporates four short films based on the stories of contemporary migrants and supporting powerpoint presentations.

Juvenes Translatores translation contest 2011

Amid ever-growing interest, the European Commission will run its Juvenes Translatores translation contest for the fifth time in 2011. The contest is organised for 17-year-olds in secondary schools throughout the European Union. The contest day is 24 November 2011.
