Cooperation between LEGO® Education and the Learning Teacher Network

The Learning Teacher Network and LEGO® Education, a company within the LEGO® Group, have agreed to enter and develop long term cooperation.

-This cooperation will inspire and stimulate the development of teaching and learning in classroom practice, says Magnus Persson, president and coordinator of the Learning Teacher Network.

Both organisations are committed to enhance lifelong learning and to contribute to children's development, improved learning and more of creativity and innovation in schools in order to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The two parties share common values and perspectives on lifelong learning, on learner-centred education and training, and on the importance of capacity building, professional development and new learning environments.

With global reach, LEGO® Education has considerable experience in providing complete learning solutions that cover a variety of curriculum areas, while encouraging children to use their creative, problem-solving and team-working skills. Their solutions are based on a hands-on learning approach that actively involves students in their own learning process, making learning fun and an adventure.

The Learning Teacher Network is a unique European and international platform for professional exchange, networking, cross-border activities and educational impact, with additional strength being closely connected and related to EU policies and the European programmes in education and training (in particular, the Lifelong Learning Programme).

The network is composed of professionals from all levels of education and training in 24 countries with wide expertise and experience in teaching and learning executed in daily practice.

-LEGO Education and the Learning Teacher Network share the same core learning philosophy, says Magnus Persson. There is mutual appreciation of each other’s work to create and support methods for learning that make a difference to the students in lifelong knowledge-building and skills.

-Through this cooperation I am convinced that we will even stronger encourage school development as well as increase the impact of hands-on learning and innovation in daily classroom practice.
