Grundtvig training courses with cultural and artistic perspectives
The Art aspects art society invites to two Grundtvig training courses on Lanzarote, Spain in October 2010: “Horizons” and “Relations Between Nature and Culture – Artistic Point of View”. Workshops organized by art aspects are a product of ongoing interest in the crossover of art and education in the cultural context of a European society, as well as the cultural potential of the tension on the threshold between European and non-European contexts.
The seminar “Horizons”, with course leaders from Iceland, has been designed for those who want to employ their creativity effectively whilst broadening their cultural and artistic perspectives within a European setting. The course will encourage everybody to explore the relationship between our external horizons and mental boundaries, and of the impact one can have on the other. All forms of artistic expression will be welcomed. Creative learning and teaching methods will be a central issue to the course.
Session 1: 4-9 October 2010
Session 2: 11-16 October 2010
The course/seminar “Relations Between Nature and Culture – Artistic Point of View”, with course leaders from Germany, will focus on the symbiosis between ‘Nature and Culture` and using this as a main goal in education on any level. Lectures, practical creative work and excursions will provide the participants with background for reflection on how nature and culture intertwine and how can we learn and get inspired from this relation.
Session 1: 18-23 October 2010
Session 2: 25-30 October 2010
The art aspects art society was founded in Berlin in January 2008 as an independent non-profit organisation, whose purpose is to encourage the promotion of art and culture, as well as promotion of art education including help with tuition. The founding members are artists and pedagogues running the independent art school in Berlin, and this experience inspired them to develop network of cooperating artists and creative workshops on international level to encourage the artistic progression of Europe as an essential step towards the enhancement of the European culture.
