Future Learningscapes - a Conference on e-Learning on 7 July 2010
On 7 July 2010 the University of Greenwich organises the eighth e-learning conference, this year with the title “Future Landscapes: A 21st Century Challenge”. The focus of ‘Future Learningscapes’ is on the transformation of learning. They invite delegates to grapple with the vision of a new future.
For more than 20 years we have been promised that technology will transform living, learning and working practices – has that time arrived? In the first decade of the 21st century has society changed, are we learning differently – do we think differently – where will the journey take us next?
This is no longer the world of science fiction – this is here and now – our children have grown up in a technological society where geographical distances are shrinking – all is now available at the touch of that button – potentially we are always connected – always communicating – always searching – always sharing and publishing who and what we are – the world out there is our oyster!
The eighth e-learning@greenwich conference aims to:
- Explore the dimensions of future learningscapes
- Enable practitioners and researchers to share their use of technology in transforming the design and delivery of 21st century learning and teaching opportunities
- Imagine the role of digital technologies and literacies in creating future learning scenarios
- Consider the implications of future learningscapes on stakeholders
The conference will be held in Queen Anne Court, at the Greenwich Maritime Campus.
