TACCLE book and European course on e-learning
TACCLE is a Comenius multilateral project about learning management systems and e-learning in education. The TACCLE project helps teachers to develop their own e-learning materials. Now the project has published a book, which is a step by step guidance in a teacher friendly ‘how-to-do-it’ handbook (PDF), and invites to an in-service training course in April 2010.
The TACCLE book for teachers in both school and adult education is one of the major outcomes of this project. It is now ready, fully edited in English, and can be downloaded as PDF file from the project website. A printed and lay-outed version of the book will be available at the beginning of October. The manual is being translated in German, Dutch, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish.
The project has also developed a European training course that will take place in Urbino, Italy on 18-24 April 2010. For both the participation fee and travel expenses a grant can be requested from the LLP National Agency in your country. If the applicant is approved for funding, the grant normally covers all expenses.
'TACCLE' stands for Teachers' Aids on Creating Content for Learning Environments.
TACCLE will help to establish a culture of innovation in the schools in which they work. The TACCLE project tries to achieve this by training teachers to create e-learning materials and raising their awareness of e-learning in general. Its aim is to help teachers to develop content for e-learning in general and for learning environments in particular. This will in turn contribute to achieving the aim of the Life Long Learning programme “to support the development of innovative ICT-based content, services, pedagogies and practice for lifelong learning.”
