Eurydice: Modernisation of higher education in Europe

European Day of Languages 2011

Every year, 26 September is the day we celebrate Europe’s rich linguistic heritage – the EU’s 23 official languages, the 60 or so regional/minority languages, and the languages spoken by people who’ve come to Europe from other parts of the world.

Juvenes Translatores translation contest 2011

Amid ever-growing interest, the European Commission will run its Juvenes Translatores translation contest for the fifth time in 2011. The contest is organised for 17-year-olds in secondary schools throughout the European Union. The contest day is 24 November 2011.

Drawing competition for children

The European Commission is holding a Drawing Competition around the theme of "Space and Aeronautics" for children aged 9-11 years old - a chance to have a Galileo Programme Satellite named after you and launched into Space!
